HI everyone! Things have been so busy, we almost forgot to post about our home visit! It was a great experience and we enjoyed the company of our social worker. The rest of the paperwork can take up to 45 days, so know that we appreciate your patience and your support, and we will post as soon as the home study is officially complete!

We wanted to send out a special thank you to all of our family and friends who helped us with our HUGE yard sale today. Your hard work is so very much appreciated. Thank you to everyone who helped us get setup last night and this morning, and thank you to those of you that helped or stopped out today. Thank you as well for all of the donations to make the yard sale as epic as it ever could have been. We love you all and a special thank to Steven’s dad for all of his yard sale skills and for being there for us ever step of the way, the yard sale would not have been such a success without you. All other donations were delivered to the salvation army this afternoon and although we are exhausted, we are definitely happy the success of our fundraiser today.

Hi everyone! We are planning an Adoption Benefit Yard Sale Saturday, June 22nd! Please spread the message if you live in the Louisville/New Albany area and we are also seeking any donations of any items to sell. Any items that are not sold will go to the local goodwill. Box things up, check your closets and basements, and hopefully get the items to us by Friday June 21st!
Of course, we are still accepting donations here at our blog for our adoption and all sales from my etsy shop also benefit our adoption. Thanks for sharing and any and all donations are greatly appreciated.

Today we took a trip up to Indianapolis to meet with the home study coordinators. We had a great trip and we had a lot of our questions answered! We are almost finished with the paperwork and once that is complete our home visit will take place. While we were in town, we were able to visit our friend Liz and her new addition, Otis! Here’s a picture of Leslie enjoying her snuggle time with the little one:
We are still accepting donations and fundraising, so please share our adoption blog with friends and family and don’t forget that all sales through my Etsy shop also benefit our adoption!
Getting the beginning paperwork for our home study sent out Monday along with getting our contract started to begin finding our birth mother with Kirsh & Kirsh!! Exciting. 🙂 Still have our home study to go through, but the wheels are turning!
Going to do our best to organize a yard sale soon! So start collecting if you would like to donate items for sale. Anything that is not sold goes to Goodwill.
We are still accepting donations and fundraising, so please share our adoption blog with friends and family and don’t forget that all sales through my Etsy shop also benefit our adoption!

It’s been a little bit since we have had an adoption update. We wanted to let you know that we are now starting our home study process to get the adoption going! Leslie has her medical exam tomorrow and we have some paperwork to do before the social worker visits our home. Leslie has been working on some DIY projects for the baby and a friend of ours made the quilt and bed skirt for the nursery! Leslie is working on a paper crane mobile, a t-shirt rag rug (from all those t-shirt scarf left overs), and she starting a knitting a baby/toddler blanket last week. We are attaching the pictures of the quilt and Leslie’s progress so far on the blanket.
Thanks for checking up on us!
